GREENVILLE -- Carol Lloyd Byrd age 87, of Greenville passed away at 12:28 am Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Carol was born September 13, 1937, in Adams Township, Darke County, Ohio, to the late Oran Luther & Hazel (Riffell) Byrd. Carol was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma L. (Hite) Byrd on October 24, 2022, and sister, Delores Dunevant. Carol is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Randal L. & Sue Byrd of Camden; step children, Kathy Quinn of New Madison, Robin Plessinger of Greenville and Carla Hollinger of Versailles; grandchildren, Aaron Byrd, Kasey Brandenburg, Lacey Thobe, Nikki Ricker, Scott Hollinger, Amber Plessinger-Williams and Heather Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph Byrd of Versailles; niece, Cheryl Edwards and many more beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol worked as a journeyman mason from high school until his retirement. He was a member of Hickory Grove United Baptist Church, Greenville. H
