Lela M. Shaw, 72, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.She was born on July 8, 1952, in Union City, Indiana, to Barbara (Teegarden) Shaw and Greenville and the late Charles Shaw.Lela is survived by her siblings, Bruce Shaw of Greenville, Patti (Neil) McDivitt of Fountian City, Indiana, Estel (Francy) Shaw of Greenville, and Sue Shaw of Union City, Ohio; numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces; and many dear friends throughout Ohio and Kentucky.Lela was a native of Darke County, graduating from Westmont High School in Hollansburg in 1970. She was a dedicated 4-H member for ten years. Lela had a deep appreciation for outdoor activities, including horseback riding, hiking, and kayaking. She found joy in sitting on her front porch, gazing out at her horses and the scenic Kentucky countryside. While she spent many years in Kentucky, Lela loved to travel and always made time to visit her family.
